What do we do?

MuziekLesIjburg is a private music studio that opened on the island in 2022. Our mission is to offer high-quality music education for adults and children from beginner to advanced in Amsterdam Ijburg, Zeeburgereiland and Diemen. We offer tailor-made individual lessons in our studio which is conveniently located next to Shopping Center IJburg; we combine the flexibility of a private lesson and the regulation of a music school. We give music lessons for instruments such as piano, flute and violin and basic courses to young children from the age of four.

WHo are we?

We are a team of young, highly educated, flexible and experienced musicians and music teachers: Anastasia, Liza, Elizabeth and Apollon. You can read our stories on the teacher's page.

Music tutoring: at students' locations and at one of our studios?

We understand that families sometimes have a very bisy schedule and some parents would prefer their music teacher to come at their house. That's why we are enlarging our offer for in-home lessons - our teachers are there to follow you on music learning journey at your location. In such case, a (good) instrument present is essential, but if you don't have one yet - no worries, we will help you get it in no time.

After two years of teaching (and being fully booked for a few months) we have opened a new location on Pampluslaan. Check the agenda and book a trial lesson there (piano or violin) or your flute lesson in the Piet Zwarthof studio.

Piano

The piano is a beautiful instrument, accessible to all ages. It is a perfect instrument to start with music. Do you want to give your loved ones a special gift with a piece of music? Or do you want to play along while singing your favorite song? Then the piano is for you!

The violin lessons are given at students' location and our teacher speaks English, Dutch,  Lets en Russian.

Auditions, teacher's concerts, visits of the conservatorium, instrumental workshops and much more! Also, our teachers play regularly with our students and our method is based on duo-playing, with the teacher or fellow student.

Flexible booking and registration

Registration is possible all year round. You choose the lesson times together with your teacher. Would you rather have a lesson at your house? That is also an option.

For best results, we recommend taking music lessons every week. But we are flexible. Together we choose the best option - 30 or 45 minute lessons for children and 45 or 60 minute lessons for adults - every week or fortnight.

Already have an instrument? Excellent. Do you need help choosing an instrument to buy? Did you find a nice second-hand offer and you would like an advice? We got you!

We also help you to have a correct installation at home. And what about the sheet music? We can advise you on the method or provide you the learning material.
